Transition Year Students go to Zeminar in Dublin

The bus to the Zeminar in Dublin departed at 8:30am in the morning on Thursday and returned at around at around 5pm in the afternoon. The purpose of the event was to provide teenagers with information about health and wellbeing, skill development and educational opportunities. It was started in 2016 and has run each year since.

There was a variety of talks and workshops that the students could attend such as the Music and Mental Health talks which was run by a band called New Rules and the Going for Gaisce workshop which was run by Gaisce. They also had a number of celebrities speaking about mental health also.

There was also a variety of stalls which could be visited. For example there were sport stalls from Tennis Ireland and there were also wellbeing stalls like Tackle your Feelings.
