Finn Hourigan receives the Naughton Scholarship

by rfeeney

The Naughton Scholarship was established in 2008 to promote and reward the study of Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths at third level in Ireland. This Year the Naughton Foundation awarded thirty six scholarships to exceptional students from all over the country.

We are delighted that Castletroy College student Finn Hourigan has been awarded a scholarship of €5000 per annum for the duration of his studies in UL. The school itself has been awarded a prize if €1000.

As well as being an outstanding student, Finn is also an excellent sportsman who has represented Limerick Hurling with distinction at Minor and U21 level.

This success comes just two years after another of our outstanding former students, Jenna Bromell, an international athlete, received a similar award.

Finn received his award at a ceremony in Trinity College last weekend where the guest of honour was An Taoiseach, Mr Leo Varadkar.

Well done Finn
