The College incorporates all that is best by way of extensive educational provision and modern state of the art facilities. The College buildings and campus are designed to the very highest standards and contribute greatly to the creation of a learning environment which is friendly, productive and progressive.

The underlying philosophy of Castletroy College is based on the education of the whole person. The College fosters the intellectual, spiritual, social, personal, artistic, physical and vocational development of all its students. The confidence and self-esteem of our students is promoted through a broad range of curricular and extra-curricular experiences. The formal curriculum is comprehensive and the structure of the timetable allows students to take subjects at the highest appropriate level in accordance with each individuals unique strengths and talents. Students, Parents and Staff are encouraged to participate in making a positive contribution to the shaping of the College, its image and its role in the Community.

The care of our students is of paramount importance and is evident in all aspects of school life. Our aim is to create an atmosphere where Christian qualities find practical expression in the daily life of the College. All members of staff endeavour to create an environment which fosters feelings of acceptance, understanding and achievement and which encourages the development of healthy interpersonal relationships. Every effort is made to facilitate and ease the transition from primary to secondary school. Formal Parent-Teacher Meetings take place in January.

Castletroy College provides a caring, secure environment in which Students are happy, feel valued as individuals, learn to co-operate with each other and are encouraged to achieve their potential.

The College’s code of behaviour seeks to encourage an awareness of equality and the necessity for care and tolerance. The code of behaviour is positive in nature and is centred on respect for oneself, others and the environment. It is developmental and will promote a spirit of self-discipline and integrity. Positive discipline is all embracing and the expectations of the College will set consistently high standards in both academic and behavioural matters.
