On the 26th of February both the U16 boys basketball team participated in the All-Ireland finals in Tallaght, Dublin.
The boys match began at 13.30 and the first score of the first quarter was to St. Aidans CBS, Castletroys opponents. However St. Aidans had trouble holding onto the lead and the score at the end of the first quarter was 15-12 to Castletroy.
Castletroy College dominated for the next three quarters of the game and the final score totalled at 59-44 to Castletroy College. The boys were delighted with the win as the captain Ruairi Cronin went up to collect not only the trophy but also the MVP Golden basketball.

Overall it was an amazing day for the team and supporters. The whole school is extremely proud of the team who will now be playing in the A division next year.
