Valentines day fundraising

Valentines day fundraising

On the 14th of February the Brid 4 went out fundrasing for the Irish heart foundation. They were in two locations, Newtown shopping centre and Aldi. They substituted the school times for fundrasing times and were split into various different groups to cover both areas throughout the day.

The Irish heart foundation is the national heart foundation fighting stroke and heart disease and it is funded up to 90% by public and corporate donations. This is why it was essential for the help of Brid to fundraise on the associations biggest fundrasing day nationwide.

The class gave out heart association pins to all those who made donations to the charity.

The foundation was extremely grateful for the help of the Castletroy College students and we are sure that they raised a large amount from the volunteers of other schools who were working on the day as well.
