Castletroy College Prefects.
The Prefects are selected from the Fifth Year cohort of students towards the end of the academic year. They are chosen by staff and are a group of students who are considered to be role models for younger students of the school in terms of their innovative behaviour, politeness, diligence, academic achievement, friendliness, kindness and consistent adherence to the ethos of the school and its code of behaviour.
The Prefects have a central role in the organisation of the Graduation Ceremony at the end of the school year and they are also present on the Induction Day for First Year students. They welcome the First Years, guide them around the school and follow up on their progress during the first six weeks of school life. They answer questions on option subjects, timetables and keep a gentle eye out for those who are a little lost and confused by the transition into secondary school.
Our 2020-2021 prefects are;
Sophie Delaney, Harry Doyle, Sarah Cleary, Brendan O' Regan, Juliette Pinson, David Foley, Zoha Panezai, Rory Clothier, Aine Gahan, Jim Keane, Rachel Webster, Peter Wetherill, Rachel Shinners, Cian Mulkearn, Niamh Conry, Laura McMahon & Aidan Walters.
